今年度の本プロジェクトは「生と死」を中心テーマにおき、それをめぐった映像や美術作品などを鑑賞したり、担当教員による講義をおこなったりした。また、岐阜おおがきビエンナーレに学生たちが作品を提出する案もあったが、残念ながらそれは沙汰止みになってしまった。そのモチベーションはすでにオープンハウスでの展示及びIAMAS2022における展示へと継がれ、実現された。テーマが「生と死」ときわめて広く深い内容であったために、人造人間から人工知能の問題、死を表象する芸術、文学における闘病記、フーコーの「生政治bio-politique」など多様な問題群が展開され、それらを理解?鑑賞することにとどまらず、各自がこうした「生と死」をめぐる諸問題をどのようにそれぞれの表現によって明らかにするかということが問題化され、実際の展示へと導かれた。各自の作品についてのコメントや記述はwebを通して明確にされ、また学生間で共有され、質の均一をはかった。
This year’s project focused on the central theme of “life and death,” and included a viewing of films and artworks related to this theme, as well as lectures by the faculty members in charge of the project. There was also a plan to have students submit their works to the Ogaki Biennale, but unfortunately, that exhibition plan was canceled. However, the exhibition of works was realized in the Open House and at IAMAS2022. Because the theme of “life and death” is extremely broad and deep, a diverse group of issues was developed, from artificial humans to artificial intelligence, art that represents death, the struggle against illness in literature, Foucault’s “bio-politics,” and so on. The exhibition was guided by the question of how to clarify the various issues surrounding the “problem” through the expression of each individual. Comments and descriptions of each student’s work were clearly posted on the web and shared among students to ensure uniform quality.
